Intern of the Week: Hank Neyens

Going into his fourth year at South Dakota State University, Hank has a wide variety of agriculture experience under his belt. He began his college career as an Agricultural Science major, then switched to an Agronomy major, and will finish his college career as an Agricultural Education major.

After discovering his love of helping others learn and wanting to do good in the world, Hank made the decision to switch his major one final time to Agricultural Education. He grew up on a diversified crop and livestock farm near Minneota, MN and he hopes to return to the area as an agriculture and shop teacher after graduating from SDSU.

Hank says that a typical day as the Minnesota Sales Intern involves riding with District Sales Managers, delivering seed to customers, working with Sales Agronomists and more. He especially enjoys traveling throughout Minnesota, seeing the countryside and working with a wide variety of people.

Hank also has a special interest in antique tractors and won both the open and antique classes of the Minnesota state plowing competition in 2016 with a Farmall H. You can always count on Hank to tell a typical “ag teacher” joke and make any task fun. We wish Hank the best with the rest of his internship and college career.
