Intern of the Week: Michael Byers
Michael Byers attends the University of Nebraska – Lincoln where he studies Agronomy with an emphasis in crop production. He is putting his education to work this summer as one of the agronomy interns for Producers Hybrids.
Michael spends his days riding with Sales Agronomists and DSMs to assess the progress of test plots, as well as help with anything else they may be doing that day. He has enjoyed learning about the process of how Producers Hybrids researches their hybrids with plots to determine what products are best for their customers. Michael says he is excited to use the knowledge he has gained already and become more hands on with the customers as the summer progresses.
“I am excited to be a part of service calls and help growers with any questions they have or issues they see in their fields.”
After Michael Graduates from UNL in December of 2017, he hopes to start a career that involves working with farmers either in an agronomy or sales role.
