Intern of the Week: Brandon Pechanec

Brandon Pechanec is a recent graduate of Kansas State University where he studied Agricultural Economics with minors in Agronomy and Agricultural Technology Management. He grew up on a diversified crop and livestock farm near Bison, Kansas.

Brandon has now transitioned into serving as the sales intern for Producers Hybrids in Kansas and Missouri, where he covers everywhere from western Missouri, all throughout Kansas and eastern Colorado. His familiarity with the area and previous internships, including doing soybean research with DuPont Pioneer, made him well-qualified for the job.

“I like the agricultural diversity we have in Kansas and it’s rewarding being able to apply what I learned in college and at other internships while I’m with Producers Hybrids.”

Brandon spends his days completing seed deliveries and returns, planting P3 trials and taking soil samples and stand counts at P3 trial sites. He especially focuses on working with the Advantage Acre program, which he will present during a P3 trial tour in southeastern Kansas later this summer.

After his internship is complete, Brandon hopes to continue his career in the agriculture field as a salesman or by working in agricultural finance. We are excited to have Brandon on the team this summer!
