Plethora of Plots

We’re proud of our plots – they showcase our leading products, test new varieties being developed and are able to be compared to similar varieties of our competitors. Did you know that at Producers Hybrids, we utilize different types of plots? Here’s a brief overview of some our most common plots to help you be #ready4more plot prowess:

  • P3 trials = our Premier Product Performance (P3) trials are marked by our unique triangular signage; these trials include products within a 7-day or 5-day maturity bracket for corn and soybeans (respectively) as well as competitive varieties for easy comparison.
  • NET plots = our New Experimental Test (NET) plots include research corn hybrids in their testing phase, commercial hybrids for checks and competitive varieties in a similar maturity range. Successful varieties that come out of our NET plots are chosen based on company and industry standards and end up being available commercially in 1-3 years.
  • AAT plots = This predetermined set of varieties gets planted in locations across Producers Hybrids country on various soil types; after harvest, the yield card is used to see which products perform best in different soils, leading to more accurate product placement.
